If it still doesn’t have proxy settings, then it isn’t much of an upgrade. I’m using the Xperia Arc and the only thing disappointing about it is the lack of proxy settings. I can’t even use the internet over at my school!

Actually, my gf bought an arc s from widgetcity last oct.15, she did picked it up from their office, and i bought htc desire hd from them last feb. 17 and had it shipped to my address, it arrived within 24 hours, i highly recommend them, they are legit.

the advantage of dual-core IMO is very task specific..aside from better multitasking, the most prominent is 1080P video recording/decoding. other than that, 1ghz delivers, especially the ones from SE.

I think SE is doing a very good job at capturing the midrange segement of android. they are the only one who offers 1 GHZ + HD video recording + full flash at under 10k price point.

PLUS the fact that all of their designs scream CLASS and BEAUTY.

I’m so SE fanboy na :)

Yeah maganda designs ng se phones. Kaso yung materials na ginagamit ang di ko gusto. Bibili sana ako nito so i checked my friend’s xperia arc muna. Kaso napansin ko nabakbak na yung silver sa gilid. Wala pa naman ako balak bumili ng case sana kasi ayaw ko matakpan yung design. Kaso di pala bagay to sa pasmado.my friend had his arc for only 2months and pasmado din siya at hindi nagcacase kaya natakot na ko bumili. :( masyado n din kasi malaki sa kamay ko to kaya baka lalo ako mahirapan na hawakan pag may case na. :(

Specs doesn’t matter don’t believe in specs, real life usage is what really matters. try watching this video comparison then based our decision there.

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ikR4CBhqQck

the above vids are self explainatory. the sensation is basically hindered by the heavy skinned UI, so expect an ocassional lag.

    • Avatar for Sonny007 Sonny007 says:

So imagine what an Arc S with 40% improved speed can do. the only deal breaker is the non availability of the front facing camera or better go with either GalaxyS2 or the Sensation XE. Pero also expect the battery to drain a lil bit faster.

Of all android manufacturers, I think Sony has the best set of aesthetic sense and brand to defeat the iPhone.

Problem is they keep under-powering their phones, and they also don’t market their stuff well enough.

mainit sa mata! i want one… am a fan of sony ericsson.. i have xperia mini pro. its good, but am not satisfied. it hangs on some application! xperia arc at 20K less, this could be the answer… :]

    • Avatar for lawrence lawrence says:

Y u no satisfied with Mini pro? I’m planning to get one panaman next month :(

Does it have something to do with the 3′ screen? is it not giving justice to the android experience?

How about po ung camera at music at flash performance?

    • Avatar for Kei Kei says:

Im a mini pro user here, and coming from my old Desire Z, i believe mini pro stands well. It is slick and fast. IMO, hanging applications is common among androids. But if you’re looking for quality android with keyboard, this is a good choice. I am a fan a smaller form factor after getting tired of large phones for the last 2 years. Anyway, flash performance is good. Camera might be a downside though. It can capture 720p but the video is not that vibrant when you watch it on PC. But hey, at its price range, it’s a steal.

    • Avatar for M M says:

I have also an Xperia Mini Pro bought it for 12.5k at Cellshoppe pampanga. I like it! Umm, hanging is a problem of the android software, not the phone. I agree with Kei that its a quality phone. I bought it because of the QWERTY keyboard, that’s one of the features I like for a phone and the mini pro is perfect!
The camera flash can literally blind you, the screen BRAVIA ENGINE TOL! Its really nice. Timescape, although di ko ginagmit, maganda syang feature if your are a social bubuyog.

Anyways, get the phone. You won’t regret it. Well that is if you fancy QWERTY keyboards.

I witnessed one review at Youtube comparing performance of the “older” single-core SE Arc VS. the dual-core HTC Sensation. Benchmark shows better numbers by the latter but the single-core SE Arc performs at par, if not better, in most scenarios in actual use (web browsing, opening of Apps, loading games).

Just think of the performance of the SE Arc S with the bumped up CPU. SE phones are turning out to be one of the best-optimized Android phones running satisfactorily at 1GHz (perhaps thanks to the minimally-skinned UI)

    • Avatar for von von says:

Bec. Gingebread OS isn’t optimized to make use of the dual core so you can’t really compare the 2 phones fairly.
