    Ito na naman ang sony, naglalabas ng waterproof phone pero hindi under warranty ang water damage. Kahit service warranty man lang ok na sana eh.

    Still surprises me that Sony is claiming that their devices are waterproof when my cousin got his Z1 destroyed by water which Sony refused to replace. I posted this on my own Z1 which is my last Sony phone.

      magkaiba po ang waterproof sa water resistant

    • Avatar for paul paul says:

      Sir, all sony phones are water resistant and maybe your cousin forgot to close tightly the flaps, my z1 compact lasted in 4 feet

      @former Sony Fan Nadaya ka ng mata mo, or di mo lang naintindihan ang difference between “waterproof and water resistant” . LOL

      Of course Sony won’t replace a unit if there was an irresponsible handling on the customer’s part. Any other company won’t replace it if that’s the case. Why not research a little more on how the warranty works, my 11 month old xperia zr was replaced with a brand new unit last week even though the 1 year warranty will be expiring next week, haha.

      @Former Sony fan: Did they mention water damage isn’t part of the warranty when your cousin bought his/her phone?

      @Skabuts: I have the ZR too, may I ask why did you have your phone replaced? I have the extended warranty too and I want to use it before it expires. :)

      Y’all dimwits don’t/can’t read. It says WATERPROOF! Check their fracking website! Why assume that there was an irresponsible handling involved?
      Interestingly, water damage really isn’t part of the replacement warrant which really makes you think.

      Mine had a hidden defect on the camera module wherein there was a build up of moist from within the lens. The technician told me that they can’t repair the unit that’s why they had it replaced with a new one, haha.

      @Former Sony Fan
      Ever heard of the term marketing propaganda? Like what I told from my former post, research a little more on how the warranty works, you will less likely go wrong when you have an ample supply of knowledge, cheers.

      @skabuts: Ok, sounds fair. But again, for a brand like Sony to f*ck up just to sell? I checked my warranty and it states there that they will fix it. They offered to fix it but my cousin has to pay 12k. Warranty my ass!
      Never heard of the term ‘Marketing Propaganda,’ though. Is that a new term you created?

      Google will always be your friend for thoughts that are not known to you. Btw, Seems like your cousin was really f*cked up if he needs to pay 12k for it to be fixed, better have it sold than suffer the after repair defects, haha.
