Sony Yuga 5″ 1080p phone gets early preview

The long rumored Sony Yuga finally gets leaked, and an early preview from Mobile-Review gets published.

After some time of speculation, a lot of specs have finally been confirmed through the hands-on. Firstly, the Yuga will pack a 5-inch 1080 x 1920 display with Mobile BRAVIA engine technology, all powered by a quad-core S4 pro processor at 1.5 GHz and 2 GB RAM.

The device will also pack 16 GB of internal storage, with an option to expand it through a micro SD card slot. With all those good hardware, Sony has managed to fit in a micro HDMI port as an extra. The 2013 flagship phone also utilizes a micro SIM and the much-awaited 12 MP Exmor RS sensor.

Comments about the device were mixed. The display was told to be great, yet lacking good viewing angles. The camera was also said to be not much different from the one on the Xperia T, regardless of all the hype going on for the Exmor RS sensor. On the other hand, the device was said be made from plastic, but it conveyed a very premium character.

Keep in mind, however, that this review was based on a prototype unit, so things are still subject to change.

I hope they already fix the camera problem on their Xperia models. Xperia S camera is terrible!

The display will be different on retail units. Early prototype po ito. Front and back is made of glass.with dragontail glass. Metal frame.
Camera is 12.8mp/13mp. Masosolve din siguro yung heat issue plus water resistant kaya sealed baka yun din kaya umiinit

siguro naman they could find a work around for the heat issue before they release it.. If that happens this will be my first 5″ phone and my mom gets my Xperia TX :D
