Windows RT ported to HTC HD2

Earlier this month, we reported that a hacker has successfully ported Windows Phone 8 on the 3-year old HTC HD2. As if that is not impressive enough, another hacker has done the unthinkable – porting Microsoft’s Windows RT OS on the said device.

@CotullaCode, the hacker responsible for the hack, tweeted images of the HTC HD2 running Windows RT in Metro and traditional Desktop mode. This makes the HD2 the smallest, and the oldest in terms of hardware, Windows RT tablet to date. I’ll leave it to your imagination how one would navigate Windows RT on a device with a 4.3-inch display.

We said it once and we’ll say it again, the HTC HD2 is one die-hard Windows Phone handset! I’m just hoping that HTC makes another device as versatile as this one in the future.
