Ok, seriously, I don’t see how a question mark can imply that a person is condescending, especially a single question mark and especially in print. In the first place, the author’s note right before the list already states: “Only the smartphones we personally tested are included.” I believe that’s why Sir Louie responded with a question instead of a declarative statement. The disclaimer is right there.

PHONE COLLECTOR didn’t take offense with the response, so that should have been that. There was no need to fight someone else’s (imaginary) “battle” and definitely no need to start one with a “condescending” retort.

    My 2 cents. Thanks.

Now, hopefully we can get back to actual article-related comments, please. Thank you.

The question mark at the end of his sentence made a big difference. He implied that the questioner was not able to explain something so simple, making the said questioner look intellectually inferior to the person being questioned.

    Well, this my opinion.

    • Avatar for Louie Diangson Louie Diangson says:

If that is the case, you are insulting PHONE COLLECTOR’s intelligence by implying that he is offended by a simple but direct reply that happened to be a question?

    • Avatar for Mang Tomas Mang Tomas says:

It’s irrelevant whether he was insulted, or not. My post was about your reply, not whether he felt anything about it, or not.
I never said anything about insulting anybody. If anybody had done any insulting, I’m pretty sure it wasn’t me. Please don’t put words in my mouth.

I still think it was condescending, and I’m more certain now, and that is my opinion. If you’re going to make a big deal about somebody’s little opinion, then it probably hit somewhere not comfortable, like your ego.

If you think my comment is condescending then it is your problem. And it’s funny when you say you’re certain then call it an opinion.

May P1 sa top 5, bakit d nyo rin nilalagay ang p1m? Pero price/specs and battery life, sa laser na ako.

  7. Avatar for William C William C says:

The UP Max’s display is HD, not full HD. The price has also been lowered AFAIK. Long battery life but could feel sluggish if you had used a better phone before.

Overall, I think the best on the list is the P1. It is also the newest one and also the priciest…
