Wi-Fi vending machine, a self-service internet hotspot

Vending machines can dispense chips, chocolates, sodas, water, coffee, and many more. We even had charging kiosk at malls and convenient stores plus piso-internet machines for cheap PC rental. This time around, why don’t we aim higher. I’m talking about this Wi-Fi vending machine we saw online.

This Wi-Fi enabled machine can give you instant Wi-Fi hotspot for as low as Php 1. It uses an IEE802.11 b/g/n compatible router at 2.4Ghz band.

We also found a demo on how to use the machine:

The process is simple. You insert a coin to the machine and it will issue a receipt containing your username and password for the login portal.

Wi-Fi rates are as follows:
Php 1 = 5 minutes
Php 5 = 25 minutes
Php 10 = 50 minutes

The business costs Php24,999 to start and has the tagline “Isang hulog, log-in agad sa Internet. Kada hulog, ang kita mo – kabog!”. The said Wi-Fi vending machine is distributed by AGN Solutions.

Thanks Lloyd Lopez for the tip!

  3. XTN says:

The only downside that I think is that they’re still dependent on our local ISPs which sometimes randomly drops the connection. Hahahaha

  4. Komento says:

Mag P50 Unli Surf ka nalang. 24hrs pa.

  5. Emmanouchie says:

    Mahal nito.

  6. yup, too much expensive. ako less than 11K lang ginastos ko. same concept lang din, pero not hulog piso, i owned ka comp shop, so if gusto mo bumili ng load, pay 15 pesos sa counter for 2 hrs, then mag generate ng code ang PC ko, then i print nya, then login mo na, consumable pa, if 30 mins lang nagamit mo sa 2 hrs, you can use the code parin on the next day or next month as long na hindi pa ubos :) available code is 15 = 2 hrs, 25 = 5 hrs, 100 = 5 days, 300 = 30 days, 500 good for 2 devices for 1 month

    • . malaki pag kakaiba nito sa unlisurf mga peeps, ur using wifi syempre. mas mabilis kesa gumamit ka ng signal ng simcard mo. sa akin ang max bandwidth na pwede mo makuha is 3mbps so i compare mo yan sa unlisurf na super bagal. additional to this. ang radius ng wifi ko is 300 meters, sakop nya 2 streets sa area ko :). and pwede ako mag wifi hosting meaning pwede ako mag supply ng internet via repeater sa mga bahay na sakop ng 300 meters. no need for the code, mac address lang kailangan ko, after 30 days, disconnected ka sa system ko. so need mo ulit mag bayad sakin and re-activate yang mac address ng pc mo or devices mo :)

e kaso naka-lte ako. walang palag yang 3mbps mo.

wag una yabang boss. kalma lang.

      di porket wifi “mas mabilis”

    • Jay Fee Bugarin says:

Nga-nga :)

    • Shie says:

Hi! Paano po yan? I’m interested po.

    • Im Using 10mbps Pldt Fber then connected to Mikrotic 751 routerboard for my hotspot system, and 2 Asus RT-N12HP as Access Point & repeater.

each asus rt-n12hp has 2 x 9dbi detachable antenna that have a 250 meters wide radius signal in open area. i use 2 asus para wala ako deadspot and mabigyan ko ng wifi yung 2 streets namin.

Im using 10 mbps PLDT internet. connected to mikrotic controller with a bandwidth limiter 3mbps for the wifi. then to 2 Asus RT-N12HP serve as access point & repeater. over all cost is 11K. addons ko lang yan sa comp shop ko. pang dagdag kita.

Let’s just say na nawala ang connection mo from the isp.

  9. jarren says:

mganda to nga lang sana kasama ng charger ng cellphone sa unit n to, parang lugi ang user nito pag wifi lang ang binabayaran.

hanap na lang kayo ng hack ng internet like me. free internet lang gamit ko walang gastos pa.

    • marvz says:

  10. Alfred Aquino says:

Is there a particular ISP that this vending machine is using?

  11. ISIS says:

    WIFI KILL.APK lng katapat nito

    • Mark Steven says:

lol di uubra wifi kill dyan.. auto gen username & password eh, auto change dn malamang username & password nyan.. di ubra yan may system dyan na automatic/random generate ng password.. haha

  12. Phillip says:

The actually justifies it. Imagine 10 people connected for 1 hour simultaneously, edi 100 na agad yun sa isang oras. PERO ulit, crucial din internet connection mo. Best internet plan siguro dito 5mbps pataas, again, considering na madameng potential customers that would justify the monthly cost of your ISP.

  13. Shie says:

How does this work?
