Amazon Kindle Fire 2 leaked images

Amazon will be holding a press event this week and a lot are speculating that it will be about the successor to the Kindle Fire.

Evidence about the next Fire are becoming more widespread with new images of the suspected Kindle Fire 2 surfaced on the web. See images below courtesy of The Verge:

Judging from the photos, the new Fire will have video calling features with the addition of a front-facing camera, microphone and Skype integration. It was also reported that Amazon will be using Nokia Maps to add navigation services to the new Fire which means that the new tablet will have GPS.

All these speculations should be taken with a grain of salt until the official announcement. One thing I can be sure of is that the Kindle Fire 2 will be priced aggressively like the original Fire to compete with other 7-inchers out there.
