Gigabyte launches Slate PC S1082

Gigabyte launches their new Windows 8 pre-installed tablet, the S1082.

The slate features a 10.1″ touch-screen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 and a built-in hard drive (users can choose between SSD and HDD). Under the hood, an Intel Dual-Core processor powers the device.

Like every PC, it comes with I/O ports, an SD card reader, 2 USB 2.0 ports, LAN, 2 audio ports, an HDMI port and D-sub. What’s special about the slate is that it has a SIM card slot that takes advantage of data speeds; that’s something useful when WiFi is not around.

An optional keyboard kit is also available to turn the S1082 into a notebook while a docking station with a DVD drive also exists for those who are inclined with multimedia.

The Gigabyte Slate PC S1082  is expected to arrive this month with a starting price of approximately Php25,000 – 29,000 depending on the spec configuration.
