It’s official: Samsung is skipping to Galaxy Note 7

As Samsung rolls out the invitation to media for its upcoming Unpacked event, it also confirms the number “7” for the awaited Galaxy Note smartphone.

We all know that Samsung will announce its latest Galaxy Note smartphone but rumors have been floating around months before that they are skipping the “6” moniker to align it with the numbering scheme of their other flagships — Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. In its invitation, we can now definitely say that Samsung will jump to name it as the Galaxy Note 7.

First, the Galaxy Note7 will  complement our Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, and unify our product portfolio. Second, the Galaxy Note7 will minimize confusion about the latest mobile technology from Samsung, and provide full alignment with Galaxy S smartphone.

The launching event will happen on August 2, 2016 11:00AM EDT in New York with simultaneous events in Rio de Janeiro and London. We’ll be covering the event live straight from New York to give you the latest updates about the Note 7. Stay tuned!

The quote definitely confirmed it. Funny it is though, quoting someone without the name of the person, nor the quote be found in the article. Or maybe that’s your own words? I didn’t realize early enough the article contributor is a Samsung owner, a stockholder. Forgive me.
