The Optimus G’s presence may not be most felt here in the Philippines, but it is one successful device outside the country, and LG is going to follow that up that success with the LG Optimus G Pro – and it’s directly aimed at the 1080p market.
To begin, we have to tell you that an LG Optimus G Pro variant is already available in Japan, so don’t get confused. This one could be very much the international version, or if not, similar to it (Korean variant perhaps?).
To compete with the likes of the Sony Xperia Z, the upcoming HTC M7 & the Samsung Galaxy S4, LG’s representative will pack a larger 5.5-inch 1080 x 1920 IPS LCD panel. That’s the same size as the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Thin bezels can be noted from the image as well, and the black border surrounding the display.
4G, a quad-core S4 Pro processor and 2GB RAM is expected from the device, along with a 13 megapixel camera and a 2.1 megapixel front camera, both capable of 1080p video. Above all that, it’s believed to pack a large 3,140mAh battery to power up the behemoth.
So what do you guys think – will the beauty and brawn of this phones catch up with its competition?
