Nikon made a camera that turns your dog into a “pho-dog-rapher”

Nikon went a notch further with their target market and made a camera specifically for dogs.

Nikon-Heartography-3

Their Heartography project lets dogs capture the things that excite them using a 3D-printed SmartCase that fits a Coolpix L31 camera. How the trigger works is by using a heart rate sensor connected to the shooter. Once the dog sees something exciting and his heart rate spikes, the sensor will send the data via Bluetooth which will trigger the camera to snap a photo.

The Coolpix L31 has a 16.1-megapixel sensor so the images it will be producing should have good quality. In addition, an OLED display shows the dog’s current heart rate.

We wonder if there will be a social media primarily for dogs in the near future — even what kind of photos will be uploaded there. We can see it now:

Dawg just posted a photo with the caption, “Hanging out with my bitches.”
