Samsung Galaxy S Advance to get Jellybean in January

Listen to article

While Samsung’s high-end Galaxy line up are already running Jellybean, Samsung has just announced that its Galaxy S Advance will be receiving the update as well in January.

In this case, Samsung has decided to skip Ice Cream Sandwich and go straight to Jellybean which will be delivered via Kies and OTA. The announcement came yesterday from Samsung Mobile Germany’s Facebook page. It’s written in German but good thing Bing is here to make a rough translation.

So the Galaxy S 1.5 (Yes. That’s what I call a Galaxy S “Advance”) has an actual date to when it will get Jelly Bean, whereas the Galaxy S II still has no date (but functional Android 4.1.2 leaked ROM’S are available). :(
