Samsung is reported to be engaging business with design teams responsible for Nike’s brand development as well as for Starbucks in the past. The report suggests that the company may reboot its logo, advertising style and other elements as well. The target of the rebranding is for Samsung to attain a more strategic position, for it to wash out its Asian image and for it to compete in a more global level.

The reported reboot is expected to happen at CES 2013. Maybe Samsung could create a more classy logo, use more premium materials for their Galaxy line or push further their notebooks to compete directly with Ultrabooks and Macbooks.
A rebranding would be a very timely move especially with all the heat and attention arising from Samsung and Apple’s competition. Anyway, CES 2013 is months away and there are lots of things to be excited about. Early rumors suggested that the Galaxy S IV may be unveiled at the event but it was denied by Samsung later on.
