Just days after we released our full review of the Xperia Tablet Z, Sony Philippines has made the gorgeous 10-inch tablet available nationwide through their concept stores. Read on for the full details.
The one that we have for review was a 16GB Wi-Fi only version which currently retails for Php27,500 on e-tailers. On the other hand, Sony’s selling the LTE-enabled version with the same internal storage and they’re asking Php35,990 for it.
We’re not entirely sure what to make out of Sony PH’s pricing, because the tablet is marginally cheaper in other countries where it was also being retailed. For example, in the UK it only costs £499 or little under 33k in our local currency same goes for India where it retails for an equivalent amount of Php32,364.
The bottom line here is that although we think that the Sony Xperia Tablet Z is currently the best looking (and performing) 10-inch Android tablets in the lot, shelling out 36K for it is a little too much even if it has LTE connectivity.
