Ever since its launch, Users of Windows 8 and its ARM-optimized counterpart have only been able to access Twitter on their PCs using a web browser or via third-party application that isn’t quite at par with the real thing. Fortunately, that’s about to change as Twitter released an app for both of these platforms.
The Twitter app for Windows 8/RT has all the bells and whistles of its siblings that are designed for the other OS. In addition to its basic functionalities, the app also sports a handful of other features that grooves to the platform’s beat.
Just like other apps, Twitter for Windows 8/RT can be resized to fit a third or two-thirds of the display to make room for other apps. It also takes advantage of the two sections of the Charm bar, namely Search and Share and makes full use of the Windows Live Tile for updates and notification.
