ASUS Transformer AIO P1801 debuts locally

It’s becoming evident that ASUS has a thing for combining two devices and turning into a Franken-gadget that’s both innovative and purposeful. Enter the ASUS Transformer All-in-One P1801 which has recently made its local debut together with the Asus MeMO Pad ME172V} and the { ASUS FonePad}.

As mentioned on the previous post, the Transformer AiO is ASUS’ attempt to incorporate an Android element to the Windows 8 platform in a form of an 18.4-inch tablet with a supporting PC dock that also acts as a charger.

When docked, users can switch from one OS to the other through a switch found on the right of the tablet which is accompanied by the Power switch as well as volume rocker, Mini-USB port and Micro-SD card slot. Alternatively, users can also access Live Tile-touting OS even when undocked by via Remote Access.

The PC Station’s innards is composed of a 3rd Generation Intel Core i3-3220 processor backed by 4GB DDR3 RAM and an NVidia GeForce GT 730M GPU which expands the capability of the tablet through a set of USB ports (4x USB 3.0 and 1x USB 2.0), slot load DVD drive, 3-in-1 card reader and a pair of audio ports. The Jelly bean-powered (Android 4.1) tablet, on the other hand, sports a NVidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and ULP GeForce GPU which allows it to be a powerful computing device even by itself.

The aforementioned specs is the official configuration that the local ASUS Transformer All-in-One P1801 will come in and will be retailed for Php 59,990 by the end of this month or early April. The machine will come with a 3-year warranty with on-site service within Cebu and Metro Manila and a sleek wireless keyboard and mouse to go along with it.
