A number of netbooks nowadays are running the low-end Intel Atom Z520 at 1.33GHz. While the processor speed may seem slow compared to the usual N270 processors used in majority of netbooks, we tried this one out and ran Super Pi.

After trying out the Sony Vaio P, I was curious whether there’s any performance difference between the Intel Atom Z530 and the Atom N270. Both chips run at 1.6GHz so I thought they’d have similar results with Super Pi.
The main difference between the Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz and the Atom N280 1.66GHz is the FSB. The latter has 667MHz while the former has 533MHz. The clock speed difference is merely 67 Megahertz. See below our comparative chart.
