Acer Ferrari One 200 spotted and priced

Saw this ultraportable Ferrari-inspired notebook by Acer the other day so I came back and took some photos/videos as well as the specs and price. See more details of the Acer Ferrari One 200 below.

The body is designed similar to the Acer Aspire One AO751 and the Acer Timeline 1810TZ we showed earlier.

Acer Ferrari One 200
11.6″ display screen @ 1366×768 pixels
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core L310 @ 1.2GHz
ATI Radeon HD 3200 with 384MB dedicated (max 1.5GB shared)
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR
1.3MP webcam
3x USB, ATI XGP connector, VGA, HDMI
6-cell battery (up to 5 hours)

It has Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit installed with a suggested retail price of Php39,500 (check out RSun Computers). Got pretty curious with the L310 CPU and the Radeon HD3200 so I asked them to run Windows Experience Index. Here’s what I got:

Not bad, considering an Atom Z550 2.0GHz has a sub-score of 2.9.

I am planning to buy one. Is it available in SM Dasmarinas?

  2. Well got to say that my wife got me a great Christmas gift. It was the Acer Ferrari One. We had the family gathering and I took pictures of the Christmas get together and decided to use the Windows Live Movie Maker. All I have to say is that I was able to produce a nice DVD of the Christmas event and burn it to a external DVD I have had and play it back on the Plasma TV while everyone was still here. I have a Macbook and always use the iMovie and iDVD to do this, but I can say. If your on the road and doing trade shows, events, etc… and need to quickly do a movie video with the Ferrarri you can with no problem. My lowest score was 3.3. My Acer Ferrarri One came with the 4GB RAM already. I only wish if there was a bigger battery for it. I will using this for work during the week and I go from jobsite to jobsite and wish it would give you at least the 5 hours they claim. So far I test it and have got 3.5 hrs of battery life with half brightness and Bluetooth on. It would have been nice if this had the Intel SU2300. That would have given this at least 8hrs of battery life, but I know this will never happen since Acer, AMD, sponser the Ferrari One.

@reymatt I always set my Windows update on all my devices to only notify me of updates and I always choose which ones I install. This way if I see that it has a hardware update I rather do that from either Acer or from what ever your device OEM is. I got a feeling it was a driver that caused that.

  3. i just put in a Intel SSD x25v40 (40Gb)

win 7 performance specs are now:

    processor: 3.6
    memory: 5.4!
    graphics: 3.3
    Gaming graphics: 4.7
    primary hard disk: 7.5!!

so the swap file and memory in general also benefits (aside from the spectacular harddisk performance boost) from this disk upgrade.

Win7 startup from cold boot to usable desktop now clocks in in about 20 seconds

  4. @reymatt dude ask ko lng ano method ang ginamit mo on restoring factory settrings? D2D or sa backup dvd?
