Anybody still watching Digital Tour?

I remember about 2 or 3 years ago, one of my favorite local shows to watch was Digital Tour on Studio 23. They’re practically the only other TV show that’s pretty heavy on the tech side. There’s also Convergence on Net 25 and this Wikipedia entry says they’re consistently No. 1 on that category. (I wish they’d do reruns of TechTV.)

Anyway, both of these shows aren’t really showing anything new these days. Bunch of really old stuff and more old news. It’s like a three-month old delayed telecast or something.

Well, I guess, their average viewer isn’t as updated but to me, the show has become too boring nowadays. Hope they could do at least a segment or two that aren’t oh so too cheesy.

Wait, now I remember. They did a feature of PinoyTechBlog September last year. :D

they might do a feature on the international academy of film and television (www.filmschool.ph) and bigfoot entertainment (www.bigfootentertainment.com) next month so i hope you guys’ll watch it! :D

I like the old convergence kasi sila lang yung local content tech show that last for an hour! then during those time convergence reloaded came along which serves as a summary of convergence pero since wala silang air time they cut the old convergence and continue it with convergence reloaded.. 30 mins of local tech show is so bitin evry info is squeezed into it…

g4tv has also removed remove some of techtv shows like screen savers (yung pinapalabas dito sa net25).

also g4tv shows “the men show” which is now seen on Jack TV and also xplay

I was interviewed by Digital Tour back when it was new, and Studio 23 was still “upscale.” Then, Studio 23 reformatted to become “ang barkada mo,” and the writers had to adjust.

i was featured last month on Convergence on a short section about professional blogging.

it was an ambush interview in the office actually. didnt know they were shooting.

I used to watch D-Tour. Pero lately ndi na..They focus more on online games…which I am not really interested…

I love Convergence Reloaded..They even have live podcasting/video conferencing on TV. Which is kinda awkward…

Yup, they do have the new have Call for Help in Canada and Australia–hosted by Leo Laporte and Amber MacArthur, and several other, err, younger guys and girls.

Hope we get to have ’em also on local cable. They can talk about the most basic of technologies and the most mundane of issues, but seeing gadgets and cool stuff on TV still takes the breath out of me. And yes, there’s the geek factor.

techtv is gone yuga, and i think impossible na yun since 2-3 years ago nag merge na ang g4 and techtv kaya di na nila mapalabas yung techv shows.. I wish they buy canned shows ng g4tv: like call for help (new version hosted by amber mac (also hosting commandn web cast) and leo laporte).

by the way, filipino based in america ang host and it tackles about technology here and abroad… it is still being shown in net25 during sundays around 7:00 pm

I still do watch it… hehe ganda pa naman eh, though you might say the contents are old in some ways, pero la tayong magagawa, segment writers and researchers nila ang mabagal hehe, hindi kidding aside parang magazine yan eh late sa news kasi po once in a month lng ang issue same thing with the show once in a week.. at i think they tackle more of the techie lifestyle dinaman yung news, i actually havent seen anny windows vista preview on it, I think the latest news they had was for E3..

I wonder kung buhay pa yung convergence reloaded sa net 25, naging forum type yung show nila, sak ok din yun pagdating sa news especially when most of the host are based in america, I think near silicon valley..
