Asus Eee Pad becomes official

So Asus officially unveiled today their very own version of a tablet/slate PC, called the Eee Pad, powered by an Intel Core 2 ULV and Windows 7.

The 12-incher Eee Pad (EP121) is the power powerful model but Asus is also showing the 10-inch model (EP101TC) with a much lower specs and runs Windows Embedded Compact 7.

Expect the EP121 to work like your regular CULV ultraportable notebook (something similar to the Asus UL20) minus the keyboard and trackpad. However, there are options for a hybrid keyboard/docking station.

Asus added that these Eee Pads should be able to bring in about 10 hours of battery life on a single charge. Still no word when these slate PCs will be released or how much they will cost.
