Asus launches Cedar Trail netbooks, hot pink Zenbook

It was a stylish afternoon for Asus Philippines yesterday as they unveiled a new colorful lineup of netbooks and ultrabook during their Flare Up event at BIZU restaurant in Makati.

Asus introduced three netbooks and an ultrabook that will surely appeal to the young professionals of today namely, the Eee PCX 101CH, Eee PC 1025C, Eee PC 1225B and the UX31 Zenbook Hot Pink.

First up is the Eee PC X101CH, a netbook packing the new Intel Atom Cedar-Trail N2600 processor and can play full HD 1080p videos. The netbook has no exhaust fan meaning it can keep itself cool without any noise. This 1 inch, 1 kilogram netbook with a texturized body will be available in black or red for the price of Php13,995 and Php15,995 with Windows 7 Starter. Such price makes the X101H ASUS’s most affordable netbook.

Second is the Eee PC 1025C/Eee PC 1025CE with the latest Intel Atom Cedar Trail N2800 processor. ASUS also added Instant On which allows the netbook to turn on from sleep in just two seconds, a very useful feature if you want to get back into business right away. They’ve also beefed up the battery and can now last for up to 12 hours with regular use. Another feature is the USB Charge+ which allows you to charge your devices via the USB port even when the netbook is turned off. The 1025C will arrive with its new FLARE design, having a metallic side body and paint texture which will be available in Paris Pink and City Gray. You can purchase this lappy for the price of Php16,995.

Next is the upgraded 12 incher netbook, the 1215B, which is now flaunting the FLARE design with its metallic paint texture. On board is the AMD E-450 APU processor at 1.65 GHz, the ATI Radeon HD 6320 integrated graphics and is now equipped with a smart webcam capable of 4x zoom. The 1215B will be available Matte Gray and Matte Red for the price of Php22,995.

Finally, the ASUS Zenbook UX31 in, wait for it… in hot pink color. I can actually imagine Nicki Minaj using one right now. Of course it still has its Zen-like appearance, 3mm at the front and 9mm at the rear, spun metal and hairline aluminum body. The inner body is coated in black with the prints on the Chiclet keys printed in pink. Under the pink hood are the 2nd Gen Intel Core processors with Instant On and ASUS’s exclusive Super Hybrid Engine II which results to 25% longer battery life.

The UX31 boasts superb audio performance through its SonicMaster technology co-developed with Bang & Olufsen. The Zenbook Hot Pink will be available by 1st week of April but be prepared to shell out Php59,995.

i think color is not that much important in choosing a laptop to buy , but it speaks for the marketing side and it also appeals to the techie side of the laptop, to quote and unquote.. ” the aesthetics of a particular object has always been attractive to consumers”.. which is partly right. anyhow.. i really love the color .. super .. nice one for asus. =)

Even ASUS does that way back, but USB Charge+ of ASUS uses the USB 3.0 slot for faster charging.
