From my experience, ASUS makes a decent product but if anything goes wrong, you are all but screwed. I am extraordinarily disappointed with their attitude that the customer is bothering them. I thought that it was just the USA distributor, but when I sent a message to ASUS’ home office I never got a reply. I finally bought a new motherboard, NOT ASUS, and even the folks at the computer store told me ASUS is a royal pain even for them to do business with. Never again ASUS for me.-by Steve Thornton at the Techradar website.

Can you verify if this is true? I wanted so much to have the Asus Transformer Prime but upon reading this comment, I’m having second thoughts.

Take a chill pill john. The first spec sheets for the TF700 announced on CES said that it will sport the tegra3 cpu. So we’re just separating fact from fiction. Moving forward, there isn’t much info regarding the processing power difference between the qualcomm and tegra cpus so far. I’ve only seen one benchmark where the qualcomm cpu performed better on single threaded apps, but its too early to say. Hope sir yuga can get a hands on review soon so we can choose which to invest in :D

@Roegan Taron, Please READ CAREFULLY & CLEARLY the article. here’s my question regarding your comment.

    1. is 1.5ghz dual core faster than 1.6ghz quad core?
    2. is it not stated that both the TF700 & the Infinity wifi has the Corning Gorilla Glass 2?, haven’t you read it in the article?
    and lastly,
    3. is it also not stated that the TF700 does not come with Ice Cream Sandwich?, and is it not clear that all tabs mentioned above does come with Ice Cream Sandwich?

Great! I don’t think the 100Mhz will put me off between this and the TF700. At first glance I thought that THIS WAS the TF700. Looking forward to pre-order news on this machine :D

    – The TF700’s processor is faster by .1 GHz
    – The Pad Infinity WiFi has the Gorilla Glass 2
    – And of course, the Pad Infinity WiFi comes with Ice Cream Sandwich :)

FYI, please read the specs sheet CLEARLY & CAREFULLY with 20/20 vision. “THEY DON’T HAVE THE SAME PROCESSOR”, the TF700 has only a Qualcomm dual core processor, while the Infinity Wifi, has a Tegra 3 Quad core processor, the TF700 has no microsSD slot, while the Infinity Wifi has one with upto 32GB. the TF700 has LTE support(or 3G if country has no LTE), while the Infinity Wifi has no 3G or LTE.

Once again, read CAREFULLY & CLEARLY

Just wondering, what are the main differences between the TF700 and the Pad Infinity Wifi? From my POV, they have the same Tegra 3 processor, Memory, Storage and Display. I’m not sure if the Pad Wifi will sport the same plasticky build I see on the TF700 videos on youtube though.

Content is king. If manufacturers keep on pumpin’ impressive specs on their tablets, they’ll lose. Just take a look at the Kindle Fire. 4 million units sold last December 2011. It doesn’t even have a 1080p camera. Or any impressive specs, but still, it’s the best android tablet today (when it comes to shipments). You guys wonderin’ why? It’s all because of content!

If it works with windows 8, i’ll get one… Windows 8 imho will be the the true competitor to the ipad.
Coming from a current galaxy tab 10.1 and ipad 2 user.
This together with the dock and windows 8 would eat up tablet, ultrabook and netbook markets

I’m assuming this would be more expensive than the prime. Can’t wait for this, I didn’t buy the prime because of its wifi only variant.
