Asus Zenbook UX32VD w/ NVidia GT620M at Php60k

Listen to article

Back in June, we got a bit of a sneak peek of the Asus Zenbook UX32VD ultrabook that came with a dedicated graphics card, a NVidia GT620M.

Though it is a few millimeters thicker than the previous UX31A, it still looks much thinner than many other ultrabooks because of the tapered edge.

The UX21 on top with the UX31VD below it.

To make the price of the ultrabook near the SRP of the original one, Asus had to switch some parts, like the use of a Hybrid Drive (500GB + 24GBSSD) allowing users to be able to install more large-sized games into the system.

Asus Zenbook UX32VD specs:
13.3″ LED @ 1366×768 pixels
Intel Core i5-3317U 1.70GHz
NVidia GT620M 1GB DDR3 VRAM
4GB DDR3 RAM
500GB HDD + 24GB SSD (Hybrid Drive)
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
Bluetooth 4.0 w/ EDR
3 x USB 3.0 ports
1 x HDMI port
1 x miniVGA port
1 x SD card reader
48-Whr Polymer battery
Windows 7 Home Premium

The keyboard on this unit has been improved and added a back-light. Same goes with the trackpad (it used to suck a bit on the old models).

The Zenbook UX32VD is now in stores and retails for about Php59,990.

roam around to check for ux31a, I saw the ux32vd instead, and it is confirmed, ux32vd here does not come with the full hd ips display..also, saw at fb ux31a will be selling at retail of almost 70k..

abe maybe you can ask them (Asus) next time, why the higher price, and why the limited line up?

yeah, I agree that it sucks that computer makers always release their class B models here in the Philippines. They think that we Filipinos do not deserve their top of the line models. They think that we are second-class humans. Just give us choices, we should be the ones who decide if which of them to buy. Example, Dell does not even support Alienware models here in PH. Sucks big time.
