Cisco Cius is an Android Tablet for Business

Not really a big surprise that Cisco came out with its own tablet PC but running it on Android seems like a good move. Called the Cisco Cius, this Android-powered tablet was specifically made as a collaboration business tablet.

The Cius is the 1.15-pound tablet with a 7-inch WVGA display, two cameras (front-facing HD unit @ 720p 30fps) and a rear-mounted, 5MP camera that can transmit streaming VGA video and capture stills.

Cisco Cius
Intel Atom 1.6GHz
32GB Flash memory
WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n
3G/4G data connectivity
720p HD video
dual noise-cancelling microphones

The Cius also comes with a docking station that includes Gigabit LAN, support for Bluetooth 3.0 and dual-independent display so it can project to a bigger external monitor/TV. Cisco promises 8 hours of battery life and while there’s no indicated price, the company says it will be under $1,000.

Not sure if cisco can capture the Philippine market since there are a lot of cheap brands being sold here.
