Remember the Coby Kyros MID8042 that we did a review of back in the early part of the month? Well imagine that with a slightly bigger screen and a slightly better screen resolution and you have the Coby Kyros MID9742.
In all honesty, there’s all there is to this tablet from the previous one. It has a bigger screen (9.7-inch) with an (1024 x 768) SVGA resolution and twice as much built-in storage (8GB) than the MID8042. Everything else, from the design to the specs, is virtually identical. So instead of repeating ourselves, we decided to just to a short clip of its unboxing and quick tour of the tablet.

The Coby Kyros MID9742 sells for Php8,789 at Lazada which is Php3,600+ more expensive than its smaller sibling. Truth be told, we don’t think that the price difference isn’t worth it, but if you like what you saw with the MID8042 and you have cash to spare for a bigger screen and storage then go for this tablet.

May coby tablet anak ko, binili nung dec28 2013, binalik namin nung jan2 kasi sobrang hina makahagap ng wifi. 3mos lng nagamit ng anak ko. Ayaw ng mag charge. Pinadala ko sa service center nila sa sampaloc manila. 6weeks na nasa center nila. Kesyo hnd lng daw pin connector ang sira. Nang kinuha namin kanina lng. Nag charge naman nung tinesting sa kanila. Pero nang nasa bahay na kami. Ayaw ng gumana. Sa imus pa kami galing tapos hnde naman ayos…
