HP outs budget-friendly Stream tablets and laptops

HP has unveiled four new devices that are powered by Windows 8 and carry affordable price tags – the Stream 7 and Stream 8 tablets, and the 11.6-inch and 13.3-inch Stream laptops.

The HP Stream 7 and Stream 8 are Windows 8-powered slates that sport 7-inch and 8-inch displays. Both sport Intel chipsets and feature 1TB of OneDrive storage and 60 minutes of Skype each month. The Stream 8 also comes with an optional 200MB of free 4G data each month “with no annual contract for the life of the device”.

The HP Stream 7 has a price tag of $99.99 while the HP Stream 8 is priced at $149.99.

Next are the Stream laptops which come in two display models – 11.6-inch HD and 13.3-inch HD. Both are powered by an Intel Celeron CPUs, 32GB of internal storage, and comes with a 1-year subscription of Microsoft Office 365 Personal which includes 1TB of OneDrive online storage.

THe HP Stream 11.6-inch model costs $199.99 while the HP Stream 13.3-inch model is priced at $229.99.

Complete specs will soon be available when the HP Stream devices launch in the U.S. in November.

    Any ideas when will this be available in the Philippines? I think the Stream 7 and 8 are LTE compatible, then you can send/receive text messages using these? Cool!
