Huawei launches the MediaPad 7 Vogue

Not to be outshined by other tablets with phone functionalities, Huawei has launched a new 7-inch slate that can also allow you to make calls and send SMS – the MediaPad 7 Vogue.

Before your mind gets clouded by images of Madonna and of a popular fashion magazine, you should know that the Vogue carries a 7-inch 5-point multi-touch display with IPS and a resolution of 1024 x 600 which equates to 170ppi.

It also sports an aluminum metal unibody design, a 3 megapixel rear camera that is capable of 1080p video recording, a 0.3 megapixel front-facing, 8GB of internal storage with microSD support, and a 4,100mAh battery.

Powering the device is Huawei’s K3V2 Cortex-A9 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and Android 4.1 Jellybean with Emotion UI 1.5.

The Huawei MediaPad 7 Vogue will be available in 3G and WiFi-only models in black and white colors, and will be available in China this month. Pricing and local availability is yet to be announced.

Not impressive but not crap either. This could be a nice gadget and it just depends on the local SRP.

Yep, I’ll give this a pass. Will just wait for one with 2GB RAM and 720p screen.

would love to see a Mediapad version of the Ascend Mate, same specs but 7″ screen. I particularly would love to see a Mediapad with gorilla glass, 2GB RAM and at least 720p screen. things missing on this Vogue.
