Of the many number of tablets that has been announced this week, the most likely units that will eventually arrive in the Philippines are the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (SGT P7100) and the LG Optimus Pad.
The Motorola Xoom looks sweet but I doubt it will be officially released in the Philippines while HTC Flyer doesn’t really have enough genetic make-up to really compete with the other tablets.

Samsung’s first 7-inch Galaxy Tab was already a hit so a more powerful 10-incher would certainly close the gap between their own Android tablet and Apple’s iPad.
However, considering the first Galaxy Tab was selling for a very expensive Php35k price-point, it’s a little hard to compete with the iPad which starts at just Php23k. Hopefully, Samsung will also offer a cheaper WiFi-only version of their tablet at under Php25k.
Based on previous pricing schemes, we’d expect the Galaxy Tab 10.1 to sell around Php35k or a little bit higher. As for the LG Optimus Pad, my guesstimate is somewhere between Php30 – Php35k.
Can anyone give me advice what brand and model of digicam to buy? I opt for Panasonic Lumix but it’s way beyond my budget. my budget is just 15,000.
I’m going to use this cam for my travel blog.
@NemOry wala pa yatang Ice Cream Sandwich (2.4). Pero ayus din ang Google wala pang Ice Cream Sandwich, meron na silang pangalan sa 2.5… Jellybean.
Any news when this beauty gets available in the Philippines?

The price is a little too high for the Philippine market. I think the Ipad will still rule the tablet wars here in the Phils.
These are must have gadgets I’m looking forward! But I should get one when the time it gets cheaper. I’ll go with samsung. Tested brand for me. :)
I think i will still go with samsung.. im sure that LG will be more cheaper.. but I still hate LG.. hehehe.. but still I am planing to get one this year.. hope samsung will be cheaper and more competition to come..
i have a netbook. i need microsoft office most of the time. there exist the limitation of android. i don’t need an office editor.
windows 7 on tablet has a different limitation- shorter battery life.
i can wait for the next best tablet that can meet my needs and understands wider varieties of consumers as well.
hope there were fewer fashion victims. i’ve got less money to burn…
They look promising but overpriced IMHO. As for me, I’d rather wait for the Fusion laptops of AMD. I heard Lenovo and HP have their versions already. Are they available here now? Magkano kaya pag lumabas?
lg is competing… good…
the first tablet of lg available in Phil?
though i love the multitouch capabilities of these tables, i still want to have a physical keys of laptops! ahehe! still, great tablets!
wait for a tablet that has Tegra 3/Kal-el on it…
quad-core ftw…
I like the scribble feature on the HTC flyer. I wish these tablets can have that too
marami po bang bumili ng samsung galaxy tab dito sa pinas? mga ilan kaya nbenta?
I think a laptop will still do all the things you need unless they will release a near laptop capabilities.
Wow…..dual core
your guesstimate price puts both in the price range of notebook pc’s..
now i’m wondering what’s better to buy next? A good netbook or one of these tablets??
hmmm….
