LG’s new XNote S210 seems to be right in the fence between a regular laptop and a netbook. It comes with 12.1″ screen yet only weighs like a netbook at 1kg so we’ll put it under the ultraportable category.
It’s not going to use an Intel Atom processor but the much faster Intel Core 2 Duo 2.43GHz CPU. RAM can be bumped up to 4GB too.
To shave off some weight, no optical drive was included but has some interesting port connectors — 2 x USB, HDMI, eSATA and a multi-card reader.
No additional info is available but you can see more pics at Aving New Network. And I don’t think this would be priced anywhere near a netbook too. I don’t even think this will ever reach the Philippines though. Still, the LG XNote pretty slick finish and thin design.
Hi every one, here every one is sharing such familiarity, so it’s nice
to read this blog, and I used to visit this website all the time.
Hmm I think it’ll be touting the around 1kg weight around for premium pricing. I wonder how much it’ll cost when it’s out.
interesting. but if it won’t make it here, then it isn’t really in play. sayang.
Look in your email.
thanks for the post yuga.. but for me I will still go to MSI MegaBook VR340…
-13.3in. Wide WXGA Screen
-Intel Core 2 Duo
-2GB Memory
-1.3 MP camera
-Wifi
(26K at pccorner)
(what do you think Abe?)
anyway…
“I don’t even think this will ever reach the Philippins though” – Typo error yuga…
My guess is that this will be probably priced in the 40k range. This will definitely benefit power users like me since netbooks doesn’t satisfy my needs in terms of using CPU hungry apps.
