Meego running on MSI Wind U160 netbook

Yesterday during the workshop, Intel showed us a netbook (an MSI Wind U160) running their new OS, Meego.

Here’s a short clip of the Meego-powered netbook:

The OS looks sleek and very snappy on the netbook. The UI seems intuitive and easy to use/navigate. I’m tempted to get a copy to install in one of my netbooks (hopefully, it will work wonders with my old Vaio P).

Expect Meego to come pre-installed in several netbooks from Acer, Asus, MSI and Lenovo in the future.

Can this be downloaded for free? Any link? I am definitely one of those interested to try this one out. On the other hand, do we expect this to work on an AMD processor? Maybe asking too much here. =)
