If you got your SHIELD gaming tablet between July 2014 and July 2015, the company asks that you stop using the affected devices immediately, “except as needed to participate in the recall and back up data.”

To make sure that your device is a part of the recall, you may check NVIDIA’s website where it directs you to follow a series of instructions to determine what kind of battery the tablet is using. The affected batteries will reportedly be replaced by the company for free.
