After their success in Europe and America, Polaroid now has its eyes set on our country and, together with RedDot Philippines, have unveiled a slew of competitively-priced Android-powered devices aimed at budget-conscious consumers.
Tablets and smartphones aren’t exactly the first products that will come into mind when you see or hear of Polaroid. Heck, you might not even know that they actually manufacture anything other than cameras and photography-related products until only recently when we previewed their latest offering that was displayed in this year’s CES. But times have changed since Polaroid’s hey-day in the camera scene, and they, like other companies, have realized the market potential of mobile computing devices such as smartphones and tablets.
Polaroid’s initial lineup consists of entry-level to mid-tier smart phone and tablets and a few feature phones. Here’s a look at their offerings which includes an overview of the devices’ specs and local price.
The Polaroid devices mentioned above will be available in the next coming weeks and can be purchased through leading mobile stores, kiosks and dealers nationwide.

^ its true disposable bcoz of lack of parts… i bought my son a polaroid quadcore tablet thru thier distributor at sm bicutan… unfortunately the touch screen broke after a week use and i have to pay for replacement… money is no prblem but the thing is they dont have parts on stock…its almost two months now waiting and junk na ata itong tablet na gift namin sa anak. mas mabilis pag under ng citylight ang service coz i have an experience with a broken touchscreen with our pldt tab and agad adad napalitan nila with minimal charge.
wag kayo bibili ng polaroid napaka low life ng after-sales… walang stocks ng mga parts paikot ikutin ka lang na may order ng parts abroad prang delaying tactics lang tsk… so in short “DISPOSABLE”.

Very disappointed! Bought Polaroid Quad7 MID0748 for my son as birthday giftt. Testing ko palang naghang na. I let my son play minecraft on it then after getting drained and recharged ayaw na magboot. stuck na lang sa android screen tulad nung picture sa taas na nakalagay Android with black screen background. pinhole reset doesnt work. Sayang lang pera. Sana ok yung service center. tsk tsk.

i bought polaroid 8″ executive clavier last oct 25 2013 kc nag-ambisyon ako ng malaki s karaniwang 7″. at ang napala ko ayun sira n agad.. panget p ang camera same specs from other tablets pero actual usage super kakaasar
ay, pangeth pala to? trip ko pa naman sana yung 5’9″ nila, panglaro dito, at ng mapalitan na ang Kata iDroid ko na wala pang isang taon eh phase out na raw ng OWTEL, buset sila hahaha!!!

Polaroid (haha, the last four letters gets a piece of the Android name), they better stick to cameras. Why join the fray and scare away consumers with high-price + low-specs.
Sige pagpilitan mo din yan. Pakibasa ulit ng sinabi ko; “ACTUAL USAGE”. Are benchmarks basis for comparison? Yes definitely. Pero basahin mo yung ibang forums comparing both processors, and obviously they will say that the Rockchip will beat the Exynos in benchmarks BUT the Exynos produces better quality in ACTUAL USAGE. Analyze din konti hijo. Benchmarks are mere representations of the hardware, and should not ONLY be the basis for comparison between hardwares. Sige try mo i-explain yang benchmarks mo sa mga casual users kung maiiintindihan ba nila yan.
Benchmarks ACTUALLY give you the idea on how a chip would perform on real world use…that being said, Differences vary…from noticeable to negligible

What I meant is comparing them on ACTUAL USAGE or AKTWAL NA PAGGAMIT kung di mo naiintindihan ang ibig sabihin nun. ACTUAL PERFORMANCE of an Exynos-powered tablet is still BETTER SLIGHTLY than a Rockchip-powered tablet, owing to the fact na bago pa lang yang quadcore na Rockchip na SoC. Ikaw yata ang ignoramus e. And also, the benchmark difference between the two is EXPECTED, due to the fact na ang Exynos 4412 was released April 2012 pa while ang Rockchip RK3188 was just released last January 2013. Obviously, mas updated, e d syempre it will turn out better on tests.

Oi kita ko mga comments mo dito sa site puro ka troll. And please read again what I said: CHINESE-BRAND TABLETS. Like the Ramos W42, which uses the Exynos 4412. I didn’t mention Tegra because even the dual-core Rockchip can easily outpace Tegra 3.

Really? Anything less than a rockchip is weak? Haven’t you heard of Exynos 4? Some Chinese brand tablets are actually using Samsung’s chipset, and they fare better than Rockchip’s in actual usage. And how much is Starmobile paying you? CM and MyPhone are still better overall against SM. CM’s customer service is not the same all over the country; some may be bad, but in other places it is actually good. Their prices are definitely dealbreakers among local brands. MP’s customer service could be the best among local brands with their tie-up with Sony. They also don’t overprice that much. SM? Shorter lines in customer service? ‘Coz there are less people buying their gadgets. Most of their phones/tablets are way behind against SM and MP (except for the new ones, obviously). They are, what you say, “under-speced and overpriced.”
