Samsung ATIV Book 9 Lite lands for Php29,995

Launched in London back in June, the Samsung ATIV Book 9 Lite has finally reached local stores with a starting price of Php29,995. The ATIV Book 9 Lite features an SSD storage with an S Quad Core 1.4GHz processor.

We got a quick look at the ultrabook last June and was curious about the S Quad core processor that turned out to be an AMD A6-1450 1.0GHz quad-core processor (Turbo Frequency 1.4GHz) after tweaking around the Device Manager in Windows.

The ATIV Book 9 Lite is probably the first locally-available laptop using SSD to be priced at under Php30k.

Samsung ATIV Book 9 Lite specs:
13.3 inch display @ 1366×768 pixels
Quad-core 1.0GHz processor (up to 1.4GHz)
AMD Radeon HD 8250 Graphics
4GB DDR3 RAM
128GB SSD storage
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
Bluetooth 4.0
Gigabit LAN
720p webcam
3-in-1 card reader
2-cell 30Wh battery

There are actually two variants of the Book 9 Lite. One is the NP905S3G which is the basic one and retails for Php29,995 while the other variant is the Samsung NP915S3G which has a capaitive touchscreen display and priced a little higher at Php33,990. Both units are listed on Asianic’s website.

When will the Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus hit PH stores? What is its final PHP price? So excited to buy one, either Intel Core i5/i7 Haswell processor + higher SSD capacity.

Never underestimate the power of AMD processor. AMD APU consumes less energy than Intel given that the majority of the time the processors are in low-active state + AMD has more muscle in GPU compared to Intel. I love them both (AMD & Intel). I love Samsung ATIV Book 9 Lite (White), looks better than black.

Is this computer worth it? I was wondering about the macbook pro, idea pad or Ativ 9… But I’m still unsure! I know they are for different uses, but I want it for university.

Anyway, I was wondering if the Ativ 9 is already in stores? cos I usually check here, but they have nothing yet http://www.pricepanda.com.ph/samsung-ativ-book-9-plus-i5-128gb-black-pid1524024/#priceList

    • Avatar for PinkyHeart PinkyHeart says:

Di naman siguro 2000mah lang ang battery nito, our old Asus Atom Netbook has a 5000mah battery and it’s still thin.

Meh, my dual-core android tab beats this piece of sh!t quad-core laptop anytime of the day because my tab can play hd games at smooth framerate while this POS barely runs SD games at smooth framerates.

    Hahahaha fvcking pc users losers!

Android is the only os you’ll need if your a real professional!

You can’t really do MS Office on an android tablet, not to mention adobe applications

    • Avatar for migs migs says:

@abuzalzal Your stupidity knows no bounds. So you’re saying that all hardware running Windows is insufficient for gaming? And what is? Your ARM powered dual-core excuse for a tablet? Microsoft Office 2013 on Android? Still not available. Professional software? AutoCad 2013 and full blown Photoshop isn’t even on the Play Store, probably due to the fact that ARM processors are too weak to handle those. The only tablet that I know of that can handle those tasks is the Razer Edge Pro. But then again, maybe your repair business doesn’t really demand that high of a standard?

This guy knows nothing about computers. LOL.

funny how some idiot talks about professionalism when he can’t even put out proper punctuations.

Price and specs are not bad for some internet surfing & office work.

  8. Avatar for Rocky Rocky says:

The processor is AMD A6 and even underclocked, probably the reason why just says “Quad-Core Processor” even on their unpacked event.

Anyways its good that its using SSD but Core i3 haswell will kick the butt of this notebook for sure in terms of overall performance.

Sorry AMD you’re too late again and again

  9. Avatar for meh meh says:

Terrible screen res, processor im sure does not compare to haswell and only 4g of ram. THis is just simply not good enough

There is a Haswell version of this, the ATIV Book 9 Plus. Comes with Intel Core i5/i7 Haswell, 256GB SSD, QHD 3200×1800 pixels and touchscreen.

    • Avatar for Rocky Rocky says:

try to be a bit more realistic Mr.Meh, there is no FHD notebook for 30k. Plus at the thinness of that notebook I’m sure its not expandable in memory size.

Maybe your BUDGET is higher so you’re expecting more specs.

interesting. is there a 256 GB version?

Very nice my ass.

    • Avatar for abuzalzaldin abuzalzaldin says:
