Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 release set on August 21

We got confirmation from reps of Samsung (the ones stationed in Rockwell) that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 (P7500) will finally be released this August 21, 2011.

The suggested retail price for the Galaxy Tab 101.1 3G with 32GB is Php34,990. There’s no official word on the release date of the Galaxy Tab 8.9 but our info on the retail price posted here earlier seems to hold some ground.

The SRP is very close to a 32GB iPad 2 3G which sells for Php35,990.

Read our full review of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 here.

I saw a store in Megamall selling this but its a WIFI only variant for 29,990 32GB variant. Honestly its still expensive considering its just an Wi-Fi only model. Plus the only main advantage is the size which is really thin but less in connectivity. :(

i’m still gonna wait for Samsung to release a non-Tegra based tablet

thumbs down for no h264 video playback capabilty because of lame Tegra 2 chip, my single-core SGS has better media capability than these dual-core chip dud

Asked the Samsung Store in SM Rosario, and they told me 8.9 should be out by September. At least I hope so — that’s the one I’ve been waiting for.

Any sightings of the more elusive 8.9?

Galaxy Tab 101.1 3G with 32GB is Php34,990. – In General some stores will go higher second ASUS Eee Pad Transformer 32GB with Keyboard Dock Cost at Php29,995.00 much better and save my 5k to buy a cool Huawei 3G connector and to get a boost on my iPad 2 64GB WiFi Only same thing but more Cooler. Just waiting my Order and i can taste the Honeycomb.

and About on other Comments about Tegra 2 can’t play h264 right now i think there are application that can play Videos right now i am enjoying my iPad 2 that can play mkv file and Subtitle support playback Anime fan like me can enjoy my downloads anywhere.

Next Target Gadget it the ASUS Padfone still waiting the release date.

iPad 3 – wish it can support 1080p and good Camera for god sake.
