After the pocket-sized Sony Vaio P which they didn’t want to call a netbook, Sony is finally coming out with a proper netbook — the Vaio W.
The specs are pretty standard too — Intel Atom N280 1.66GHz, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.0 and a nice 10.1 inch screen with 1366×768 resolution. It’s gonna be slightly lighter at 2.62lbs (I think it’s going to have a similar form factor as the HP Mini 110).
Comes pre-installed with Windows XP in pink, brown and white colors. Price starts at $499 {via Sony Style}.
I don’t think it’s too expensive considering that it’s Sony.
I got one in pink rose.
This is more expensive than other notebooks on the market.
43,000pesos?, $499 is more or less 25,000pesos..
sa sony style HK website ganun din, sana nman pagdating sa pilipinas e konti lang ang itaas.
pa update po pg available na sa phils. tnx
I think I saw one in V-mall, it was priced at 43,000…. might as well check since I’d be going there later.
Sony stands for quality and durability,That’s why most of their products are beyond the reach of the “masa”.My Sony MHC GR 7 has been rocking my ears for 12 years now…

Good looking.. Kaso, what to expect, Sony yan.. Mahal. Di naman din convincing specs.. Might as well go with asus, msi or hp.

@Carlo – nope, that one is the earlier Vaio P.
