Well you just pointed my reasons.. hehe why go android or ios? Why go for heavy? If there is an light win8 tablet?

Netflix? Why dont you just get the netflix metro app which is a lot better. It can play hd video without problems.. i assume you are talking about netbooks, well its a little bit different here.

Who cares what other people think. Kung gusto mong gumamit ng laptop, e di gumamit ka ng laptop. Have to admit, though, laptops are more awkward to use while out and about. They’re heavier, bulkier and are more time-consuming to set-up (I carry the laptop in a bag while the tablet I can just carry in my hand).

I’ve already got iPads and Androids (Transformer Infinity, Toshiba Excite 7.7 and Nexus 7) and they cover media consumption just fine. Granted, they won’t work as well as a Windows 8 tablet in a Windows-based home network. One of the reasons why I want an x86-based Windows tablet. Thinkpad Helix has an advertised 10-hour battery life while the Transformer Book is advertised for 8. Both are quite heavy, though.

*sigh* Too bad Haswell 7W chips aren’t out yet. I’ve used Atom and Zacate and the processing power on either just isn’t enough for me (stutters on Netflix 720p HD since Silverlight doesn’t support hardware acceleration with DRM).

have you all noticed already, it’s no longer cool to bring your laptop in starbucks o sa kahit saan fast food na may wifi… its kinda awkward and heavy… ang in ngayon ay, is to bring your tablet or smartphone.

Nah.. who needs that? I mean, for those who are looking for a tablet.. why buy ultrabooks?

We want a light small tablet with more than 8 hours of battery life! At sa tingin ko walang papasa dyan sa mga sinabi mo.. hehe..

Fyi, atom in windows 8 tablet performe like amd 350 apu, but syempre masmababa ang video card.. but para san ba ang tablet? Media consumption, internet, and few casual games.. i choose vivotab kasi sa win8 environment nya.. hindi.. desktop, windows explorer, etc etc..

Btw, those are good ultrabooks!

Meh, not interested in an Atom-based Windows 8 tablet. I’d either get the Asus Transformer Book (128GB SSD+500GB HDD in dock) or Lenovo Thinkpad Helix (CTO, up to 256GB SSD). Pricey but since they can double as an Ultrabook replacement, no need to buy a separate laptop.
