Thin and Light Asus UX30 gets priced

Listen to article

As thin as 1.96cm or 0.77 inch, the Asus UX30 is similar to the SeaShell netbook series, only bigger at 13.3″ and powered by an Intel CULV processor.

This looks like another alternative to Acer’s Timeline series.

Will run Windows Vista and weighs at 1.45kg (3.2lbs). However, the 3-cell battery (3250 mAh) Lithium polymer battery might not be enough to last it more than 3 hours. Now available in the Philippines and sold at Asianic stores for Php49,900.

The specs of this notebook is pretty decent, but the battery they bundled is suspect. Since they already priced it close to 50k, why not include a battery with a better capacity?
