Toshiba Satellite A665-3DV is a 3D Laptop

Listen to article

This Intel Core i7 gaming laptop was demoed to us last week during Toshiba’s 25th year anniversary as a laptop manufacturer. It’s the 15.6-inch Toshiba Satellite A665-3DV which is probably  the first 3D-ready gaming laptop we’ve seen in the Philippines.

Toshiba Satellite A665-3DV
15.6″ widescreen LED Backlit 720p display (3D Ready)
Intel Core i7-740QM @ 1.73GHz (4 cores, 8 threads, max 2.93GHz)
4GB DDR3 RAM
NVidia GeForce GTS 350M 1GB GDDR3
640GB HDD
Blu-ray Disc Rewriteable (RE) & DVD SuperMulti drive
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
Bluetooth 2.1
Gigabit LAN
Memory Card Reader
eSATA port, ExpressCard slot, 3 x USB 2.0 ports, HDMI port
Harman/Kardon stereo speakers
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)

The gaming laptop comes with an NVidia 3D Vision Kit (glasses, USB controller/IR emitter, USB 2.0 cable, recharge cable) so you can play 3D games on the unit.

It also comes with a high-capacity 12-cell Li-Ion battery. Tricom, Toshiba’s distributor in the Philippines, could not give an exact price for the unit but they referred the US figures at $1,599. We’ll eventually know once it becomes available this August.

one thing i have to say, nakakahilo sya as compared to watching it in a big screen or from a distance. siguro sanayan lang rin like playing CS.

and you probably won’t use the 3D glasses that much since konti pa lang games na nagsusupport and movies na lumalabas in full 3D.

si calvin ba yun? haha.

anyways, i’m excited about this. i really like toshiba because of their durability, despite their sky-high prices. been waiting to see 3d tech for myself (except for movie theaters). i’m sure it will be very expensive here. also i’m just concerned that just a few games will be supporting 3d tech during its first years and the development costs will be much expensive. and so will be the cost of games.. damn…

but all in all i’m sure this will be an excellent rig.
