Now here’s another good find that we saw while we’re scouring the web for cheap gadget deals. This time, it’s a 14-inch laptop which runs on a quad-core processor.

The Toshiba Satellite C40D sports a 14-inch WXGA display with a 16:9 aspect ratio. On its sides, you’ll find a pair of USB 2.0 ports accompanied by a USB 3.0 and DVD-DL combo drive.

Doing the heavy-lifting for this notebook is tandem of AMD A4-5000 quad-core processor and 4GB DDR3 RAM. For added boost on the graphics side, this notebook also equipped with Radeo HD 8000 series GPU.

Here’s a complete look of its configuration:

Toshiba Satellite C40D specs:
14” WXGA (1366×768) LED backlight, TFT display
1.5GHz AMD A4-5000 quad-core APU
AMD Radeon HD 8330 Series Graphics

googled the laptop/cpu specs.. typo ata yung integrated graphics card, i think it should be “AMD Radeon HD 8330″ rather than 8830?

para kasing sobrang mura naman kung 8830M, mapapabili na sana ako, hehe..

    • vjoefelix says:

playable ba dito ang battlefield 3?

    • Matthew Ames says:

Same here…a high-end GPU on an entry-level quad core looks wrong to me. I searched the GPU that came with the AMD A4-5000 APU and it really comes with RadeonHD 8330M, not 8830M.

Sadly, the quad-core CPU in this one can be easily beaten by at least a dual-core Intel Sandy Bridge CPU. The GPU on the other hand, beats some of Intel’s iGPU.

      It’s a typo. We’ve corrected it.

Seriously? You’re better off adding a few thousand and getting a Haswell-powered laptop with Iris graphics than buying an outdated processor. And this is coming from someone who’s been using AMD devices for a quite a long time.

Haswell is that great on notebooks. See for yourself on forums and reviews on how long the battery life lasts and you’ll have second thoughts.

Also, you should get a Momentus XT to go with that.

Unfortunately, the Core i3 Haswell laptops we’re seeing around that’s available is still in the Php30k+ price range. As an example, an Acer Aspire V5 with Core i3-4010u with 4GB RAM and 500GB HDD sells for Php30,900 in VillMan.

  3. Matthew Ames says:

Wow, Villman’s pricing on this one does not look bad after all. I definitely expect this laptop to sell for around 21K at other laptop stores.

  4. Villman says:

We at Villman are committed to providing higher markups because of our long-standing commitment to giving our owners more money to pay for their exuberant lifestyles.

Sir Yuga sana may review po kayo nung Asus Vivobook S550cm model. thanks.

  6. abuzalzal says:

    Medyo mababa yung resolution,
    sana kahit 1440×900 man lang

  7. Villman Employee says:

  8. Darryl says:

great specs. but this laptop are perfect for gaming?

    • abuzalzal says:

      you’re such a noob

NO laptop is perfect for gaming! High-end specs or not, there’s just not enough ventilation to dissipate air!

    • abusayaff says:

      @abuzalzal

..but is your cherry mobile tablet good for gaming?

    • Wow says:

      @abubuzalzal

Wow? Please define gaming? As far as I know most of laptops can run a few games or two. I think you mistook ‘gaming’ as “hard core caming”. Even playing plants vs zombies can be considered as gaming.

      YOU’RE the noob here.

  9. wewet says:

better buy Acer E1-451G or Neo Elan D1 something both for 21k…

  10. 2P says:

Pwde po ba phelp hanap ng laptop pang gaming???? Under 30k sana…
    Like assassins creed HON etc
