Toshiba Satellite U925t slider, touchscreen ultrabook

Listen to article

October is fast approaching and we’re starting to see more and more ultrabooks pop up in preparation for the big Windows 8 launch. Toshiba just outed one, the Satellite U925t, with an interesting form factor.

The Satellite U925t looks like it’s just any other ultrabook but if you look closely, you will notice the hinge for the LCD is not positioned at the very end but somewhere halfway in the middle.

The hinge actually collapses and the screen slides on top of the keyboard, forming a pure touchscreen tablet.

We don’t know much about the configuration but at least it’s going to have an Intel Core i5 processor, Intel HD 4000 graphics and a 128GB SSD. USB 3.0 ports and HDMI are present; so it WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth.

Of course, we won’t see this tablet-ultrabook hybrid until the October 26 public launch of Windows 8. No suggested retail price either.

This is more practical than buying a tablet like iPad then bibilhan at kakabitan mo ng keyboard dahil nahihirapan kang mag-type which I think is stupid

it is good to see hybrids like this as the windows 8 is approaching, I hope the price should match those of tablets now or must be reasonable for the specs.
