For about a week now, I noticed that my CPU has oddly downgraded itself to Athlon 1800+ from the original 2400+. I didn’t touch anything in the BIOS nor have done something that could have triggered this.
It used to happen a few months back but a quick reboot fixes the issue.
I am looking at the BIOS and the system bus is already set at 133MHz so the multiplier should be at 15 to effectively get the desired 2400+.
I suspect the MSI mobo is the culprit but I don’t have much time to do more tests and open up the rig. I’m just hoping things would get back to normal one day. *hehe*
Darn, my PC is now dead. Wouldn’t even to a POST. I tested the power supply from another PC and same thing. Same problem I had before.
Tunay? You orderd the MacBook Pro? Uy pagamit! hehe
The CPU temp is below 40 degrees. I checked the BIOs and it shows 133Mhz x 15 multiplier but once I boot up, I see 100 x 15 in the screen.
(The MacBook Pro is on the way!) :D
overheating perhaps?
get a mac! hehehe
It’s a overclocked 1800+ no? What’s the temperature? Do Athlon XP’s have thermal throttling?
Yup, time for a new one… let’s have an assembling meetup!
Di ka kasi bumili dyan sa malaki nyong kapitbahay sa Apolinario eh. Hehe.
Why dont go for a new one?
