Announced back in March, the Canon EOS 5D Mark III was officially launched in the Philippines early last week. The 5D Mark 3 joins the 1D X and the C300 as among the new flagship cameras from Canon this year.
The impressive image quality is generated by a full-frame 22.3-megapixel CMOS sensor (36 x 24mm) with a rapid drive that can shoot up to 6 frames per second.
Powered by Canon’s state-of-the-art DIGIC 5+ image processor (17x faster than DIGIC 4 of the Mark II), the EOS 5D Mark III is capable of incredible ISO speeds of up to 25600 (expandable to L:50, H1: 51200, H2: 102400).
A newly expanded 61-point Auto-Focus (AF) system makes it easier to track subjects with higher levels of precision and speed.

According to our sources from Canon Philippines, the suggested retail price of the Canon EOS 5D Mark III is Php169,998 for the body only and goes up to Php219,998 with the EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM kit lens.
For comparison, the EOS 5D Mark II has a current SRP of Php129,950 (body only) so the price difference between the two is about Php40,000.
As for the Canon EOS C300 and EOS 1D X, no official prices were given yet.
