Canon has formally introduced its latest enthusiast-grade digital camera, the Canon PowerShot G3 X.
Despite of what its model name might suggest, the Canon PowerShot G3 X is not the successor of the Canon G1 X Mark II which we featured here in the past. Instead, it’s a bridge camera with a fixed 24-600mm zoom lens which has a variable aperture of f/2.8 at its widest all the way down to f/5.6 at the telephoto end.
The PowerShot G3 X is equipped with all the bells and whistles that you might typically look for in a modern digital camera. It’s got Wi-Fi connectivity, NFC, and of course a tilting touchscreen display for better selfies.
