Nikon D700 12.1MP FX: Spiffy & Pricey

Some pictures and specs of the supposedly upcoming Nikon D700 FX. The D300 has just be price adjusted (Php71,000) to make way for this new model which is said to cost about $2,999 or Php132,000.

Here’s what to be expected from the upcoming Nikon D700:

* FX Format
* 12.1 Megapixel CMOS Sensor
* EXPEED Image Processor
* 14 bit A/D Conversin
* Magnesium Alloy Body

Sensor:
* 36 x 23.9 mm CMOS sensor
* FX format
* 12.9 million total pixels / 12.1 million effective pixels
* 3:2 aspect ratio

Auto Focus:
* 51 focus points (15 cross-type sensors)
* Multi-CAM 3500FX
* AF working range: -1 to +19 EV
* Contrast Detect in Live View (Tripod) mode

Sensitivity:
* Auto (200 – 6400)
* Up to ISO 25600(expanded range)

  3. There are pictures of the D700 floating around, but this is not one of them. This is a photoshopped D300, the D700 has different connector caps, and they wouldn’t be advertising an _FX_ body with the 18-200mm _DX_ lens :D

    That’s a D300. OBVIOUSLY IT DOESN’T have D700 pentaprism “bulge”, the “dual-capped rubber covers for the flash synch terminal and the remote terminal covers of the D700. FX logo missing, too.

    The D700 is a beauty!
