Nokia World, Abu Dhabi. In this afternoon’s session, Nokia executives surprised the crowd by announcing RAW support for the Lumia 1520 (and the Lumia 1020 too).
Previously, RAW support in photography is only mostly available to dSLRs. RAW image format gives you the ability to change the image file for further processing.
RAW is popular among amateur and pro photographers which allows them to change a lot of the settings like exposure, ISO, etc. in editing software like Adobe Lightroom even after the image has been taken.
RAW support on the Lumia 1520 is a first in any smartphone.
is this for real. WOW!
great! i love this, badly want it.
how much is this? what is the difference to the other phone incomes of features.
Alam ba ng buong Yugatech na ang Xiaomi Mi3 ay mas naunang nag-support ng RAW capture? Research-research din pag may time.

And if you were really researching enough, Xiaomi Mi3 was also not the first. An app made for the Nokia N900 added RAW file support. More time, maybe?

pitiful nokia…. so gone with Windows phone OS…. they have to jump on the Android bandwagon while they still have time…
They can’t, maybe you haven’t heard yet Microsoft is on the path to purchase Nokia’s device division.
Hi. Just to correct. When we take pictures, our smartphones “post-process'” or adds presents to our photos before rendering it as compressed files(eg. JPEGS). On the other hand, RAW images keep the uncompressed files. Raw images doesn’t give us the ability to change ISO and exposure. It does however give us the ability to edit the photos more freely before the photos get grainy/noisy. A RAW out of the camera usually looks flat and dull.
Don’t get me wrong. Dull isn’t bad, especially for photographers. :)
You nailed it James! Bigyan ng Jacket!
