Remember the Android-powered, quad-core toting camera that Samsung announced back in August? Well, it now has a price tag and is set to hit the US shelves on the 16th of this month.

The EK-GC100, however, has a lower battery capacity (1650mAh) and a smaller internal storage (8GB). In addition, Samsung outfitted this camera with an S-LCD screen instead of S-AMOLED found on the S3.

The Samsung Galaxy Camera is priced at USD499 or little over 20,500 in our currency. We have no info when it will be available locally, but it’s safe to say that its SRP will be slightly higher when it’s launched here, maybe around 22 – 24K. Having said that, anybody here interested in getting it at that price?
I loved as much as you’ll receive carried out right here.
The sketch is attractive, your authored subject matter stylish.
nonetheless, you command get got an shakiness over
that you wish be delivering the following. unwell unquestionably come more formerly again as exactly the same nearly very often inside case you shield this increase.
I have this device and I love even though it cannot make and create calls :) but one thing I noticed madaling madumihan ung hawakan sa likod tabi ng cam na may nakasulat na galaxy. san kaya aq makakabili ng case or cover for this device?
Just had a software update on my white samsung galaxy camera. The file size is 193MB. It is now on Jellybean 4.1.2 like my note 2 & s3.
I bought mine at GameExtreme mid Dec 2012 for the price of 20500. I tjing the price is just right. It’s like having an Samsung Galaxy S3 with high powered camera :D It’s just that, it’s too awkward when you use it as a cellphone specially when someone calls you even on viber and you dont have a headset with you. So I just use it as a camera and and for running and playing apps isntead. But overall, its amazing.
Yun nga lang, parang dko makita yung option para itransfer yung dloaded apps sa sd card. All dloaded apps nagssave sya sa internal mem. Unlike S2 na may option to move it sa sd. Anyone po na nakaka alam :) Thanks!
I saw the Samsung Camera Official Video Demonstration over Youtube and I search the new Samsung Camera over Amazon and the price $629.00.
And mahal pero I think the price is right dahil sa mga amazing features.
based on the samsung website, samsung categorized this gadget under the mobile phone devices not under the camera category..
hmmm who knows… samsung received the same response when they introduced the first galaxy note… hehe we’ll see… it’s too early to say…
Well u can just buy a gmate device so that it can be a sms and call receiver, with that youll have a camera phone na hahaha but will drain u your battery
@Qwerty Aba malay ko! Di naman ako gumagawa ng mga ganyan e. I’m just telling you what I saw its specs. Besides so what kung camera o phone ba to. As long as it satisfy your needs, that’s what’s important.
Camera nga. It works like an android tablet + the digital camera function. Kaya hindi nga talaga sya phone. MMS/Messaging is a feature of android kaya meron din sya.
Gamit ka na USB Modem pwede ka naman mgsend ng sms sa Laptop/Desktop PC magiging phone ba ang laptop mo? hehehe
Um.. ok. I cand send SMS using a smart TV, can I call it a phone too? Last time I checked the dictionary, phones should be able to make and receive calls.
EK-GC100 is a camera with connectivity options so you can send and share photos/videos easily online or to other devices. :)
@Qwerty yep.
@edisson: Phone na hindi makatawag?! Tapos phone pa rin?! LOL!
I love yugatech. I’m having so much fun by just reading the responses. =)
At the price point mentioned, will not even look or buy this one. I will more likely choose the Panasonic FZ-200 over any camera phone, anytime, kung entry level camera lang ang pag uusapan.
^ Hahaha! Correct!
@Qwerty Wag nang mangasar pa. Phone yan. Pwedeng mag SMS at MMS pero di makakatawag. Ang weird naman kasi tignan kung ilalagay mo sa tenga yung camera.
