For some people, having a back-up internet plan is a must if they need to be connected to the net ask the time. Usually, back-up options are often cheaper, nomadic and portable.
If you’re one of those who carry some sort of back-up internet, go hit the comments and share with us what it’s like.
Mine’s pretty simple but more redundant — a Smart Bro Share-It (postpaid), a Globe MyFi (prepaid), and a Sun Cellular USB dongle (prepaid, with Sapido mobile router). Update: I forgot I also have that Bayan Broadband USB stick (postpaid) but it’s being used by my staff.
Sun Broadband
Mine is Globe Tattoo with my postpaid mobile number.
my back up is a huawei b933 3g/hsdpa modem connected via LAN cable and openlined to use all networks, but i prefer sun broadband prepaid sim
and my backup to my back up is an openlined zte mf627 3g/hsdpa usb dongle with sun broadband prepaid sim
My back-up internet is my celphone on Globe supersurf. I tried using Smartbro and even Sun just because it had a very cheap monthly-unli kaso lang it got so slooow that the web-pages would’nt load during peak hours which is also the time when I go online, pero considering its cheap appeal, ok ang Sun between 12 midnight up to 6 AM sa amin para sa mga magtyatyaga sa ganitong oras. Globe had the more reliable service in my area.
my backup internet is mt smartbro and my C3 nokia phone smart sim
Globe Tatoo
Sun MiFi on unlimited internet
Smart sim installed on my Ideos U8150 (either USB tether or Wifi Mode) and a SmartBro Prepaid USB (only used it once )
Was suppose to use my Globe Sim with the phone but having problem connecting.
Globe tattoo and sun, in our place it is more reliable and better signals.
i use a Globe Tattoo 3g Dongle, which is unlocked and openline.
I first check the area where I will be using it, whichever has the best signal strenght sim, Globe, Smart or Sun i will use.
My back up internet is my Globe Tattoo Broadband and my Smart Bro. Both of them are prepaid. My PLDT myDSL was upgraded from 1Mbps to 3Mbps and its been really reliable. I use my Smart Bro and Globe Tattoo Broadband everytime I leave home and there is no Wi-Fi around. I use them if ever I have to pay for a Wi-Fi connection. That’s why I’m a bit disappointed with some Starbucks branches were I have to pay Php 100 for an hour of internet. It sucks!
Im using smartbro sim plan only.. con E5..
my back-up internet is my Globe Tattoo that I won here at Yugatech! :-D

It is also my back-up phone since I can use it to call or SMS somebody using Globe’s software :-)
I use a modified smartBro plug-it for my backup connection. :)
Globe..
I got my smart bro with smart buddy sim as my back up as well as sun sim. my primary is globe prepaid….
kong saan yong mas mabilis na connection dun ako, ususally pag sun maganda pag may 3g signal.
i got my self a wi-free account for secured wifi connection.
Well my back-up internet would be my Globe Supersurf. Its got good speed internet of up to 3mbps
Well, my back-up internet is my celphone. Been an iPhone with Supersurf subscriber under Globe. Now a Galaxy S2 with Supersurf. And I’m happy with it (except for Globe’s HSPA+ not reaching my expectations).
my back up internet plans are Globe tatoo and Smart Bro..
Globe when I’m in the provinces and smart bro in the metro..
both in prepaid since i dont need to use them often..
The uber slow Smart Prepaid is my back-up internet. Pretty useful for checking newsletters.
