13. I’m sorry to all Roxie fans in the group but after watching PBB gist tonight, I don’t think I have much respect left to the girl. There’s a more or less clear picture of what has transpired between the two prior to PBB. There is no excuse for how (if it has truth in what Roxy is saying) Rico treated Roxie. But from a simple minded person like me, there is no clear cut understanding between them. Girls, I’m on your side when I say that we tend to over-read actions of other people (specially guys). We attend to assume things (especially for the over-confident girls). I am not saying that this is what has actually happened. But there is still the possibility.

    If Rico had actually courted Roxie for a while and dropped her cold-heartedly, I know a lot of guys have done that. If all two timers were to burn right this minute, half of the population (including girls) will be wiped out of existence.

    so why am I ranning out of respect and tolerance for Roxie? because what Rico had said is true. It is clear to me that Roxie (with all the tears she has shed and SHOWN for every housemate to see) is unconsciously trying to get everyone to gang up on RR. I’ve never heard Rico telling anyone his side of the story. He’s being quiet. And all he’s been trying to do is go and fix things up because he wants the rest of his days on PBB to be much simpler, quieter maybe. Too bad Roxie doesn’t want to cooperate.

    Play the game Roxie, suck it up! I’m really getting tired of hearing her sob story. Stop making people get on your side. Don’t show everyone your weak (although you are smart enough to make it an advantage).

14. here’s my two cents’ worth on this.

    as far as I know… there is no “RICO and ROXIE”. correct me if I am wrong, they never got together…

    The thing is, ABS-CBN capitalized on the ‘love angle’ between the two. C’mmon, we all know how TV people spice up things for the sake of ratings w/c is translated into money.

    The victim here is Rico and Roxie and the viewers of this so-called Reality show. This same reason I have doubts in watching the show.

    However which way would they defend their show, my take on this is that, THIS IS NOT A 100% RELITY SHOW. In one way or another, ABS-CBN has already OUTLINED a direction for the show. It is not impossible tho, that they intentionally stimulate the housemates to feel certain emotions. “para exciting”.

    First, why the hell would they recruit Vicky Bello and Osang? - because these two people have a quite misunderstanding and if they successfully recruit these ladies, more people will watch the program (Which is the ultimate goal of any TV station) at the expense of the Dra. Bello and Osang.

    Why did they get Roxie and Rico in the first place? Because they thought that they can make a love team out of the two, tho they are perfectly aware that there is nothing going on. They need this to spice up the show. See, without the love angle sh*t I am not even writing this 2 cents worth.

    Remember, ABS-CBN is a commercial station. Money is the name of the game. and for all Tv stations so to speak. But they must remember that millions of people are watching their shows and they have a social responsibility to the public.

    Fiction is an acceptable form of story…but deception is a different thing.

    I just want to stress that, we must not believe everything we see on commercial TVs. We must be intelligent and rational in watching TV.

    Wag na lang sana nating husgahan kung sino man ang nasa PBB house. Di natin sila kilala personally. We just rely our judgement on what ABS-CBN chooses for us to see. Sa mga masugid na manunuod ng PBB, maging mabusisi kayo sa panunuod, at huwag nyong hayaang idikta sa inyo kung ano ang dapat nyong maramdaman sa isang tao sa loob ng bahay ng Kuya nila.

15. My heart goes for Rico. His only fault is being in love and obsessed with the wrong girl. The girl appears to be a manipulative person. She uses her tears and maamong mukha to win her housemates to her side. Her actions show how childish and immature she is. Mahirap ma-bridge ang communication gap nila ni Rico kasi she either walks out on Rico immediately or sobs which disarms Rico without fail. Sayang si Rico. I can see how he is hurting inside, knowing that the girl he cares for does not reciprocate his feelings of love. And what’s worse is that his housemates are taking the side of Roxanne who tells and shows them only the things that would be beneficial to her, like her view of how Rico treats/treated her, how hateful Rico is to her, and the like. But as John Pratts said, bakit di na lang diretsahin si Rico para dinaman patuloy na umaasa yung tao. May boyfriend na pala siya, bakit hindi niya sabihin? Bakit di niya tanungin si Rico at pakinggan ang paliwanag ni Rico tungkol sa “pag-iwan” sa kanya noon? Disenteng tao si Rico kasi obvious naman kasi na disente, humble at mabait ang parents niya. Biased naman against Rico ang grupo ni Roxanne (Bianca, Christian, Zanjow,Aleck). They doubt the sincerity of Rico. Did they ever think kung si Roxanne ba ay sincere sa kanyang mga pinapakita at sinasabi?
    I still support Rico 100%. Tao na nakakakita ang magdedecide kung time na for Rico to leave. Hindi ang mga housemates ang magdedecide, hanggang sa nomination lang sila. Of course it is their right to nominate the “unpopular” person for eviction but as long as we support Rico, he will not be evicted kasi hindi siya ang tunay na unpopular.
    Rico may not be the grand winner but I pray that he would be included in the final Big 4. Mangyayari ito if we continue supporting him.

    “HEY, ‘SUP Y’ALL? This is Rico Robles, 22 years old, 5’10,” 165 lbs, eats high protein, no fat food, and loves boxing,” booms this jock the moment he sees the record button pressed down, during his two to four pm Sunday show at the Monster Radio RX 93.1. His real surname is Pascual, though he chose Robles for his screen name. “Robles means I keep it real to people meaning ‘raw’ and then ‘bless,’ wherein you touch people with what you have,” he explains.

    Rico initially wanted to be a doctor even though he used to think doctors display a certain distance from the patients. Nurses, on the other hand, really get the chance to deal with the patients personally. So he chose to take up nursing, graduated in 2003, took a year off to produce some albums, and passed his licensure exam this year. So how’d he end up as a disc jockey? “I just visited here and I told them ‘Hey! Y’all got an opening for a janitor?’ I was messin’ around, you know. And they go ‘Hey, you want to be a DJ?’ and I said ‘Sure,’” he says with a wide beam.

    Two weeks was all the training he needed before he began to conquer the airwaves of Manila in 2001. It wasn’t particularly difficult for this rookie to get the hang of radio hosting. According to him, having a knack for communication with people is the most important factor in being a successful DJ, something he’s very naturally good at. He says that he is able to talk to anybody and deal with them like they’re family. “So if they ask you a question, you say it. What size of underwear you wear? You say it. ‘Cause it’s fun! Life is fun y’all!”

    The schedule of his shifts is the only problem he had to adjust with. There was even a time when he had the two to six a.m. shift, after which, he had to rush off to his seven am. to five pm. surgery class. But he’s not about to complain, “You gotta plant a lot of seeds so that when the sunshine comes out, you harvest something.”

    The difference between Rico’s harvest season and the rice harvest season though, is that he harvests his star-studded produce by the week. He gets five to six free CDs in a seven-day period, one to two movie premiere tickets in a month, and interviews with at least one international or local celebrity in a week. “I got to kick with Michelle Branch for three days. I was tour guide for M2M. I almost dated one of them, the blond girl. She was cute! She was holding my hand. We were together for a week. Maybe I’m her Philippine fling,” he says good-naturedly. “And a lot of other artists: Linkin’ Park. We get concert tickets too,” he enthuses.

    However, all these feats, including announcing songs, and broadcasting information over the airwaves have a clear-cut purpose in them. Rico isn’t blasé about his mission in life. “It’s just playing music and letting the people feel. You know a lot of jocks, some do it for the money, some do it for the fame, but I just do it to reach out, I mean that’s the connection between nursing and the radio.”

    Rico intends to get through people via RX for as long as the people want him there. A career in another station is not in his plan. “My friends say I’m like a chess player. In life, you have to make small moves and then in one swipe, you take it and I believe RX is that.”
