Huawei Honor 6 coming this December for around 14k

Announced back in June, the Huawei Honor 6 is expected to be released in the Philippines sometime in December just in time for the Christmas season.

a source, close to the Chinese company has shared that the Honor 6 will come in two variants — a dual-SIM, dual LTE with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage and another single-SIM variant with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

What’s being planned for Philippine release is the single-SIM 2GB/16GB variant with a target price point of about Php13,990 or Php14,990. However, there might be a chance that the dual-LTE, 3GB/32GB variant (similar to the Mate 7) will be released instead due to better positioning and demand.

Huawei Honor 6 specs:
5-inch IPS LCD full HD display @ 1920 x 1080 resolution, 401ppi
Kirin 920 octa-core processor (four A15 and four A7 cores)
Mali-T624 GPU
3GB RAM
16GB/32GB internal storage
up to 64GB via microSD card
HSPA+, LTE Cat. 6 300Mbps
Single-SIM, dual-SIM options
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, dual-Band
13MP rear camera with Sony IMX214 sensor and f/2.0 aperture
Dual-LED flash
5MP front camera
GPS with aGPS support
Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Emotion UI 2.3
Li-Ion 3100mAh battery
139.8 x 68.8 x 6.5mm
135 grams

Huawei’s own Kirin 920 chipset is a powerful one which can go head to head with either the Snapdragon 800 or Snapdragon 801 chip (based on Antutu scores of over 37,000 on initial tests).

Updated: Lazada is listing the 3GB RAM, dual LTE variant on their site for Php17,649 {see here}.

Talked with a Huawei purchasing officer (well that’s what he said over the phone). Only the single SIM variant was on the list. We might not see the light of dual SIM variant being release here. *sigh…*

Instead of being mean to starmobile, let’s send our condolences.

To be fair they’re coy in pricing their Knight. Just said below 20,000. So it could be 1,999 to 19,999. Smart eh, not abnoy.

is this better than the Ascend P7??

    • Avatar for Gadgeteer Gadgeteer says:

build wise, p7 is better bec it is full metal and glass.
spec wise, definitely honor 6 wins by a mile!
