We received leaked documents pointing to a strategic positioning of the LG G2 and G Pro 2 to coincide with the launch and release of the Zenfone 2 in the Philippines.
Despite being in the market for almost 2 years already, the LG G2 and G Pro 2 still have pretty good hardware and could certainly slug it out with the mid-range Zenfone 2 (ZE550ML and the high-end ZE551ML).

That’s the reason why LG Philippines has sent out documents to all its dealers run a promotional campaign around last week of April or first week of May to coincide with the projected release of the Zenfone 2 in the Philippines.
One of the biggest dealers of LG handsets is pushing for a huge promotional sale campaign for the G2 and the G Pro 2 sometime late April or early May to coincide with the release of the Zenfone 2 in the Philippines.
We received a rather incomplete part of the documents (in Excel) being circulated to dealers so we’re reproducing the details here.
The new suggested retail price will be Php12,990 but it also comes with a second LG phone for free, the LG L40. Worth Php3,490, this puts the LG G2 at Php9,500.
Also shown in the leaked document the actual dealer price of the handsets which is Php11,690 for the 16GB model and Php13,490 for the 32GB model.
The suggested retail price for the 32GB model is Php14,990 and it comes with more freebies like the LG Window Case, a powerbank and an LG L40 smartphone.
The same promo price is pegged for the LG G Pro 2 with has 3GB of RAM.
LG G Pro 2 specs:
5.9-inch full HD IPS 1920×1080 pixels, 373ppi
Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Processor (2.26GHz Quad Core)
3GB DDR3 RAM
16GB eMMC
supports microSD slot

13MP OIS plus rear camera (supports 4K UHD video recording)
2.1MP front camera

NFC
High Power 1W speaker
Li-Ion 3,200mAh removable battery
Android 4,4 Kitkat (upgradable to Lollipop)
157.9 × 81.9 × 8.3mm (dimensions)
172g (weight)
The 16GB G Pro 2 will be priced at Php14,990 and will be sold with a free LG L40 smartphone.
Asus is set to launch the Zenfone 2 this May and due to the huge anticipation (Asus exec confirms their distributor is shipping 300,000 units), the sale of midrange handsets (Php10k to Php15k) have largely slowed down according to retailers.
Update: We’re correcting our earlier rumor that this is an LG-wide campaign but apparently, we were sent clarifications that it could be a dealer-initiated promo. Regardless, the details of the prices remain the same. Of course, it’s weird that the documents we received also indicated the dealer price and sales margins. Perhaps this is only for selected dealers in the Philippines.
same here.im considering buying this phone.how much is it now mall price?tnks
does anyone know how much is the LG G2 now that the G4 is out ??
hindi po yung sa online shops kasi wala ko tiwala dun sa mga yon. yung mga physical shops?
yung sa CMK shop kasi nagooffer sila ng 13.5K pesos
how much is the retail price of G2 in malls like SM?
Hi, What branches ung mag sasale?
ZENFONE 2 HAS BAD BATTERY IN REAL TEST RESULT.
BETTER WATCH THIS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UvwLkRecco
I have the ZE550ML, and based on my own tests (max autobrightness) I can watch YouTube videos for 7 hours 30 minutes while on WiFi, maybe 11 hours without.
ZE551ML clocks in at 8 hours 30 minutes on video tests according to GSMArena. Considering LG G2’s almost 12h video playback (according to GSMArena as well) is already pretty impressive for 3000mAh, ZE551ML’s battery life is not really bad. Just average.
So sa May 2015 pa itong sale na to?
“coincide with the launch and release of the Zenfone 2 in the Philippines.”
LG shouldn’t do this kind of promotion. Including unsold phone models in a package will only make buyers think twice. What are they gonna do with that extra phone if they don’t need it?
They should give buyers options with other packages instead or just outright price discounts.
If you looked at the pricing, they also indicated the Dealer Price. So at the SRP, they make a margin of 10%, with or without the free unit.
That’s on the dealer side but I understand what you’re trying to say Abe, LG still have to earn or come up with a marketing strategy to move some unsold inventory. But the fact is, many buyers won’t take up this kind of promo if they feel they’re in effect, paying for something they don’t need. That’s why if LGs’ not bold enough to do an outright discount. They can come up with an optional package for those who don’t need a second phone. Many phone owners already have extra phones adding one more is more of a nuisance than a necessity already.
Wait, I’m confused. Is LG going to offer G2 without L40 for 9500php?
